WNCSSA Implements Bat Testing on Composite/Double Walled Bats
Grass Valley, CA – June 10, 2026
Bat Testing is beginning for the Summer of 2026.
Composite/double wall bats used in Coed, Men’s A and Women’s leagues must pass a compression test with a lower limit of 225 psi. All applicable bats must be tested with the league’s bat tester and receive a sticker to be legal. Testing will occur before every Summer Season.
Each bat will be tested at two locations, 90 degree turns from each other. If the results of the two tests are within 10 psi of each other, the average of the two tests will be used to determine if the bat is legal. If the results are more than 10 psi different than each other, the lower of the two results will be used to determine if the bat is legal. If a bat fails, we will retest it at 4 locations applying the same procedure as stated above.
Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any questions, please call or email Jordan or Sam. Our Contact info is here.
