A non-incumbent person running for a Board position shall apply via the âBoard Member Applicationâ and submit the application to the current Secretary by November 15th.
Board members shall schedule a meeting after November 15th and prior to December 15th to vote on the following yearâs Board Members. Any returning member, whether running unopposed or not, must notify the rest of the Board that they will be running for their position prior to the meeting.
In the event that multiple people are running for a single position, a majority vote will occur for that position. Voting rights for Board Member Positions shall be extended to all Managers of the previous Spring and Summer leagues as well as current Board Members. Board Member votes shall be counted as two votes and Manager votes shall be counted as one vote. No person shall have more than 2 votes. In the event of a tie, the current Commissioner shall decide the outcome. If the current Commissioner position is being voted on, the Secretary will decide the outcome.
The Secretary will contact all persons with voting rights if any position elections occur, and inform them of the meeting date, time and location at which the vote will occur. The Secretary will also be in charge of counting votes for all positions besides the Secretary position. The Commissioner shall count the votes in a Secretary election.
Votes can be cast via text or email to the Secretary/Commissioner or in person at the meeting via the voter or a proxy.
If a position is left vacant with no candidates, the remaining Board Members will divide the duties as necessary. A vacant position may be filled at any time after elections by a majority vote of Board Members.
If you would like to run for a Board position, please fill out the Board Member Application and email it to the current Secretary on the Contact Us page.
